Maurice Terry Jr is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator who lives, works in Houston Texas. His B.A. in Art Advertising was received from Prairie View A&M University. Subsequent to that he attended the Continuing Education Program in Visual Communication at the Art Institute of Houston. In 2007 he was invited to attend the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA, where he pursued Post-Graduate work toward a Masters of Illustration. Maurice has worked creatively for small and big businesses. He has worked in the creative industry and freelanced for many years producing creative briefs for Nomadic Display, Pennyfarthing Press, American Print Works, Space Center Houston, Design At Work, Houston Rockets, Houston Thunderbears, MM Design, and The Houston Defender. His main focus is continued learning and creative advancement in illustration and graphic design. Over the years he has produced and managed projects; including books, logos, brochures, apparel graphics, posters, and web graphics. In addition, he's worked as a comic book artist, penciler and inker, character concept artist, storyboarding. His most recent projects include illustrating two children’s books ( I Will Live My Best Life and A Big Boy Nate Adventure: First Football Roadtrip ), several logo briefs ( A.I.R. Atelier Isabelle Rose ), character designs, sequential pages ( Las Locas ) for an upcoming studio art book for Bad Cog Studio, 40 plus page graphic novel and a few self-publishing projects ( GRAFFITI #1 published May 2019 ) that are currently on the drawing table.
